When should I use the After Hours Clinic?
St. Elizabeth After Hours is for treatment of minor illnesses and injuries including:
- Potentially broken bones (unless a fracture is obvious)
- Earaches
- Minor Cuts
- A bite from an animal in which bleeding has stopped
- Sprains
- Rashes
- Sunburn
- Minor burns
- Insect bites (unless you are experiencing difficulty breathing)
- Fever
- Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
- Colds
- Coughs
- Sore throat
- Flu symptoms
If you are experiencing any of the following, go to the emergency room:
- Difficulty breathing
- Chest or upper abdominal pain or pressure
- Fainting, sudden dizziness, weakness
- Changes in vision
- Confusion or changes in mental status
- Any sudden or sever pain
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea
- Coughing or vomiting blood
- Suicidal feelings
- Difficulty speaking
- Shortness of breath
- Unusual abdominal pain
